I like the idea of having to sleep to do more jobs. It could require having a house and full energy to sleep or take sleeping pills, energy drinks or some mechanic to allow you to work more jobs would be good to maybe just when you have had a full rest you can work more, and maybe you can't work in the same place twice within a cooldown period (24 hours still?) this would increase supply of goods and allow for a more cookie-clicker style game which more time invested = more returns.
